What's new in DueTrail

The changes you would notice, month by month, newest first.

  • Free 30-day live trial, no card

Send real reminders, run automation and use the customer portal for 30 days before choosing a plan. When it ends, sending pauses; nothing is charged.

  • Late-payment interest and compensation

Work out statutory interest and fixed compensation on every overdue invoice under UK or EU rules, or your own terms, and quote them in reminders and the customer portal.

  • Payment behaviour grades

Each customer gets a grade from A to E based on how they have paid you: how often and how late, what is overdue now, and whether promises were kept. Every point is explained on the customer's page; customers with no payment history yet aren't graded.

  • Notes in your accounting system (optional)

Switch on write-back for Xero, QuickBooks or Moneybird and promises, payment plans and reminders are noted on the invoice there, with Xero's expected payment date set too. Off by default; amounts, statuses and payments are never changed.

  • Log a customer's reply

Paste what a customer wrote back and record what it means: a promise to pay (reminders hold until the date), something to look into (the case pauses), or just a note on the timeline.

  • Payment plans

Split an overdue invoice into instalments from its case, or let the customer propose a plan in the portal for you to accept. Reminders are held while payments arrive on time; if one is missed past its grace days, the plan lapses and chasing resumes.

  • Customer statements

Send a customer one email listing every open invoice and the total, from their page in DueTrail, after seeing it first. Or schedule a monthly run: with automation on, every customer with open invoices gets one on the day you pick, except those with a paused case, a promise or a payment plan.

  • UK letter before action

A formal 14-day final demand for UK business customers, ready to add from Settings › Email templates.

  • Client workspaces for bookkeepers

Run each client in its own workspace, with its own accounting connection and plan, and switch between them from the sidebar.

  • A balance check before every reminder

Right before a reminder goes out, DueTrail re-checks the invoice in Xero, QuickBooks or Moneybird, so nobody is chased for an invoice they have just paid.

  • More from Moneybird

External sales invoices import too, and invoices you imported by CSV link to their Moneybird record automatically.

  • Xero

Connect Xero read-only, import open and overdue invoices in one click, and keep payment status in sync every hour.

  • Slack notifications

Get a message in a channel when a customer promises to pay, breaks a promise, pays, says they have paid, or asks a question.

  • Public API, Zapier and n8n

API keys and a public API for cases, invoices and events, with Zapier and n8n connectors built on it.

  • Starter plan

€49 a month for up to 75 active cases, alongside the unlimited €149 Team plan. Unlimited users on both.

  • QuickBooks Online

Connect QuickBooks read-only, import open invoices, and keep payment status in sync every hour.

  • Moneybird

Connect Moneybird read-only, import invoices, and sync payments on a schedule. Newly synced cases wait for your review.

  • Customer portal: “already paid” and “I have a question”

Customers can tell you they have paid or raise a question from the portal. Either one pauses the reminders and lands on the case timeline.

  • Quiet hours for automation

Switching automation on never fires a burst of emails: automated reminders start at the next 09:00 in your timezone.

  • Payment instructions

Add your bank details or payment link once; they appear in the portal's “How to pay” section and in your reminder templates.

  • Teams

Invite colleagues as owners, members or viewers, with an activity log of who did what.

  • Self-serve launch

Sign up, import a CSV, and work every overdue invoice as a case in Review Mode. Nothing reaches a customer until someone approves the first live send.

Try what's new on your own invoices

Review Mode is free with no time limit, and live sending is free for 30 days. No card either way.
