Integration
AvailableCredit control for Sage Accounting, approved before it sends
Connect Sage Accounting read-only, import open and overdue invoices in one click, and follow up from a shared queue — every reminder reviewed before it goes out.
Read-only connection. DueTrail asks Sage for read access only and never writes anything back.
How it works
Connect Sage
Sign in to Sage, approve read-only access, and pick the business to import from if you have more than one. No CSV, no setup project.
Review the queue
Open and overdue invoices become collection cases. Drafts stay out, and nothing is emailed during import or review.
Follow up when ready
Approve reminders one by one or switch on automation once the queue looks right. Every send is logged on the case timeline.
What gets imported
- Open and overdue sales invoices dated in the last two years (drafts and voided invoices are left out)
- Amounts, currencies, and due dates
- Customer names and their main contact's email
- Invoice numbers, so re-imports never create duplicate cases
The direct connection is Sage Accounting, Sage's cloud product. On Sage 50 or Sage 200? Start with a CSV export — the follow-up workflow is identical from there.
Sage sends payment reminders. DueTrail runs the follow-up.
Sage Accounting can email automatic payment reminders when invoices are due or overdue, on one schedule for the business and with its default message. You steer it by excluding customers or setting a minimum invoice value. DueTrail adds the layer your team works in: a shared queue, tracked promises to pay, and approval before anything reaches a customer.
Frequently asked questions
Does DueTrail write anything back to Sage?
No. DueTrail asks Sage for read-only access: it imports invoice and contact data and never creates, edits, or sends anything in Sage.
Does it work with Sage 50 or Sage 200?
The direct connection is Sage Accounting, Sage's cloud accounting (formerly Sage Business Cloud Accounting). Sage 50 and Sage 200 users can export a CSV and import it in minutes — the follow-up workflow is identical from there.
Do I have to turn off Sage's automatic payment reminders?
No. Keep them for fresh invoices if you like, and add the customers DueTrail is following up to Sage's excluded list so nobody hears from both. Or switch Sage's reminders off and run everything from DueTrail.
What happens when an invoice is paid in Sage?
Nothing you need to track. The connection syncs automatically every hour: when an invoice is paid in Sage, DueTrail closes the matching case on its own. Right before each reminder goes out, DueTrail also re-checks the invoice in Sage — so a customer who has already paid is never chased. Re-importing is safe too; cases are de-duplicated by invoice. Marking a case paid in DueTrail never touches Sage.
Can I try it without emailing customers?
Yes. You start in Review Mode. You can inspect every case, preview every reminder, and send test emails to yourself before anything goes live.
Not on Sage Accounting, or want to start even simpler? DueTrail imports a CSV from any accounting tool. See all integrations →
