Slack integration
Collection updates, in the channel your team already watches
Chasing an invoice is a team sport: finance sends the reminders, but the account manager owns the relationship. DueTrail posts the four moments that need a human into Slack, so nobody finds out a week later that a client broke a promise.
What gets posted
Four events, not a firehose
DueTrail deliberately does not post every reminder it sends. Only the moments where somebody might need to act reach your channel.
Promise to pay
A customer commits to a date through the payment portal. Reminders pause until then — and your team knows the commitment exists.
Payment received
Money lands against an invoice. The message reports the amount and whether the case closed.
Promise broken
The promised date passed with nothing received. The case returns to the work queue — this is the one nobody should find out about a week later.
Customer pushes back
Someone replies that they already paid, or raises a question about the invoice. The case pauses for review and the question is quoted in the channel.
Setting it up
Two minutes, one permission
- In DueTrail, open Settings → Integrations and select Add to Slack.
- Slack asks which channel to post in and shows the single permission DueTrail requests. Approve it.
- You land back in DueTrail. Send a test message to confirm the channel is right.
One permission, and what it isn't
DueTrail requests a single Slack scope: incoming-webhook, which allows posting to the one channel you choose during setup. It cannot read your messages, see other channels, view your member list, or post anywhere else. Nothing from Slack is imported into DueTrail — the traffic goes one way.
Know the moment a promise breaks
DueTrail turns overdue invoices into managed cases with reviewable reminders and promise-to-pay tracking. Slack is where your team hears about it.
