DueTrail vs Chasivo: an honest comparison
Chasivo is a 2026 tool for freelancers and small teams that writes follow-ups in your voice and sends them from your own Gmail or Outlook, with a free plan. DueTrail is review-first software connected to Xero, QuickBooks and Moneybird, with a customer portal and unlimited users. The split is a mailbox-first chaser vs one wired into your accounting.

DueTrail
Review-first invoice-to-cash software: imports create paused collection cases and nothing sends until your team approves it. It connects to Xero, QuickBooks Online and Moneybird, read-only unless you switch on notes on the invoice (or takes a CSV from anything else) and re-checks the ledger right before every reminder, so nobody is chased for an invoice they have already paid. It can work out statutory late-payment interest and compensation (UK or EU rules, or your own terms) and quote them in reminders and the portal. A customer statement, listing every open invoice in one email, goes through the same preview-and-approve step, or goes out monthly once automation is on. In the customer portal a customer can promise a date, propose paying in instalments, say they have paid, or raise a question, and each of those pauses the chasing. An agreed payment plan holds reminders while the instalments arrive and lapses on its own if one is missed. Two workspace prices (€49 Starter up to 75 active cases, €149 unlimited Team), unlimited users, pure software (not a debt-collection agency, no lending).
Best for: Small B2B service teams — agencies, consultancies, IT services, recruitment (roughly 10–200 people) — that want consistent, controlled follow-up without per-seat pricing.
Chasivo
An Estonian tool launched in 2026 that writes follow-ups in your voice and sends them from your own Gmail or Outlook. Approve-or-edit ("Copilot") is the default, with an Autopilot option; it classifies replies, scores each invoice's risk and predicts incoming cash. Its accounting integrations (QuickBooks, Xero and others) are listed as coming soon, so for now invoices come in by CSV or Excel.
Best for: Freelancers, consultants and small agencies that work from Gmail or Outlook and don't need an accounting integration yet.
When to choose which
Chasivo or DueTrail?
Choose Chasivo if…
- You want a free plan to start: Chasivo's covers 3 customers and 10 invoices, and Solo is $19 a month.
- You want follow-ups written in your own voice and sent from your own Gmail or Outlook.
- You want a risk score on each invoice and a forecast of incoming cash.
Choose DueTrail if…
- Your invoices live in Xero, QuickBooks or Moneybird: DueTrail connects to all three today and re-checks the ledger right before every reminder. Chasivo lists its accounting integrations as coming soon.
