DueTrail vs Solido: an honest comparison
Solido is an Australian accounts-receivable tool that drafts each reminder with AI, waits for your approval, and sends it from your own mailbox, priced by emails sent. DueTrail is also review-first, with unlimited users, a customer portal and two workspace prices. Both put a person in front of every send; the split is your-own-mailbox AI drafting vs team pricing and the portal.

DueTrail
Review-first invoice-to-cash software: imports create paused collection cases and nothing sends until your team approves it. It connects to Xero, QuickBooks Online and Moneybird, read-only unless you switch on notes on the invoice (or takes a CSV from anything else) and re-checks the ledger right before every reminder, so nobody is chased for an invoice they have already paid. It can work out statutory late-payment interest and compensation (UK or EU rules, or your own terms) and quote them in reminders and the portal. A customer statement, listing every open invoice in one email, goes through the same preview-and-approve step, or goes out monthly once automation is on. In the customer portal a customer can promise a date, propose paying in instalments, say they have paid, or raise a question, and each of those pauses the chasing. An agreed payment plan holds reminders while the instalments arrive and lapses on its own if one is missed. Two workspace prices (€49 Starter up to 75 active cases, €149 unlimited Team), unlimited users, pure software (not a debt-collection agency, no lending).
Best for: Small B2B service teams — agencies, consultancies, IT services, recruitment (roughly 10–200 people) — that want consistent, controlled follow-up without per-seat pricing.
Solido
An Australian accounts-receivable tool for relationship-led firms. AI drafts each reminder per invoice, you approve it, and it sends from your own Gmail or Microsoft 365 mailbox. It holds reminders until a promised date, parks disputed invoices, rates each payer (Good, Watch, At risk), and connects read-only to Xero and QuickBooks. The $49 entry plan covers 100 emails a month and one user.
Best for: Consulting firms, agencies and professional-services firms, mainly in Australia and New Zealand.
When to choose which
Solido or DueTrail?
Choose Solido if…
- You want AI to draft each reminder, and every one to go out from your own Gmail or Microsoft 365 mailbox.
- You want a payer rating on every customer (Good, Watch or At risk).
- You're a professional-services firm in Australia or New Zealand and want SMS and task steps in the same sequence.
Choose DueTrail if…
- More than one person chases: DueTrail includes unlimited users on every plan, while Solido's $49 plan has one user and its five-user plan is $199.
- You send more than 100 reminders a month: DueTrail does not count emails, while Solido's entry plan includes 100 and charges $0.79 for each one after that.
- You want customers to answer in a portal (promise a date, say they have paid, or raise a question). Solido's site does not mention a customer portal.
- You don't want to hand over a card to try live sending: DueTrail's 30-day live trial needs none, while Solido's 30-day trial asks for one and bills when it ends.
- You're on Moneybird, or you bill in euros.
