DueTrail vs Credit-IQ: an honest comparison
Credit-IQ is accounts-receivable software run by Atradius Collections: automated reminders, final demand letters and a debt-collection option, priced by invoice volume. DueTrail is review-first software where every reminder waits for a person, with a customer portal and two workspace prices. The split is a collections company behind the tool vs control over each send.

DueTrail
Review-first invoice-to-cash software: imports create paused collection cases and nothing sends until your team approves it. It connects to Xero, QuickBooks Online and Moneybird, read-only unless you switch on notes on the invoice (or takes a CSV from anything else) and re-checks the ledger right before every reminder, so nobody is chased for an invoice they have already paid. It can work out statutory late-payment interest and compensation (UK or EU rules, or your own terms) and quote them in reminders and the portal. A customer statement, listing every open invoice in one email, goes through the same preview-and-approve step, or goes out monthly once automation is on. In the customer portal a customer can promise a date, propose paying in instalments, say they have paid, or raise a question, and each of those pauses the chasing. An agreed payment plan holds reminders while the instalments arrive and lapses on its own if one is missed. Two workspace prices (€49 Starter up to 75 active cases, €149 unlimited Team), unlimited users, pure software (not a debt-collection agency, no lending).
Best for: Small B2B service teams — agencies, consultancies, IT services, recruitment (roughly 10–200 people) — that want consistent, controlled follow-up without per-seat pricing.
Credit-IQ
Accounts-receivable software run by Atradius Collections, part of the Atradius credit-insurance group. It sends automated reminders from templates in eight languages, centralises overdue-invoice tasks, and includes final demand letters and a debt-collection option. It connects to Xero, QuickBooks, Exact, Sage, NetSuite, Dynamics and others, priced by invoice volume (100, 200 or 300 invoices).
Best for: UK and European businesses sending 100–300 invoices a month that want reminders and final demand letters backed by a large collections company.
When to choose which
Credit-IQ or DueTrail?
Choose Credit-IQ if…
- You want a collections company behind the software: Credit-IQ is run by Atradius Collections, with final demand letters included and a route to professional debt collection.
- You need reminder templates in several languages (Credit-IQ has eight) or an integration DueTrail does not have, such as Exact, Sage, NetSuite, Dynamics, ClearBooks or FreeAgent.
Choose DueTrail if…
- You want a person to approve every reminder. Credit-IQ describes its reminders as sent in the background; DueTrail holds every send for approval by default.
- You want customers to answer in a portal (promise a date, say they have paid, or raise a question). Credit-IQ's site does not mention a customer portal.
- You're on Moneybird: DueTrail connects to it directly; Credit-IQ does not list it.
- You chase more than 300 invoices or want one flat price: DueTrail Team is €149 a month with unlimited cases, while Credit-IQ's published tiers stop at 300 invoices (£135 a month).
